Libraries are delighted to announce the launch of the children's picture book
award 'Read it Again!' 2018.
The "Read it Again!"
award, now in its thirteenth year, is for an outstanding debut children's
picture book where both words and pictures are the work of one individual. Last
year 90 Cambridgeshire schools took part in the award, with
over
15,000 children
voting for their favorite book.
The 2018 shortlist of six titles
was selected by librarians from Cambridgeshire Libraries Development Team from
a long-list of over 20 amazing books.
This year voting will take place
across schools from January to the end of March. For the first time, in 2018 we
will also be including children's votes received in our libraries throughout
April.
Once all the votes are in we will
hold a special presentation ceremony in May where children can meet the
shortlisted author / illustrators, hear them talk about their books and unveil
who has received the most votes and will be crowned Read It Again! 2018
winner!
